Mens Midweek League

Mens Midweek League is a Pairs, Fourball Betterball Matchplay league style event played every other Wednesday. Open to all Creek Members with an official handicap index.
The Summer League runs from April - October, the Winter League runs from November - March.

Current League

Rules

- Your matches should be played on the allocated dates. If you cannot play on your allocated tee time please withdraw all players from the tee time so it can be handed back for general play. Rearrange your game at a mutually convenient date & time for all four players.

- League winners go on to play in the Champions’ League to decide the overall champions. Please arrange your own tee times.

- You will notice that some weeks are marked ‘to be posted’. these start times sheets are normally put on the mid week league board two weeks in advance so that you can choose your own tee times.

Priority of Entry

- Priority of entry to the next league will be given to those who participated in the previous league.

- After the presentation lunch the list for the next league will be available for members to attach their names in teams of two on a first come first served basis if spaces are still available.

Formation of Leagues

- There will be five leagues in both summer and winter whenever possible.

- The winner of each league will be promoted by at least one league

- The bottom placed in each league will be relegated. The rest of each league will be determined by a combined course handicap therefore some teams will change leagues without winning or being bottom of their league

Match Rules

1. Shot allowance - lowest course handicap to concede strokes to the other three players based on 9/10 of the difference of course handicaps.

2. Play off back tees.

3. Three points for a win, 1 for a draw, nothing for a loss.

4. Matches should be played 2 v 2. but 2 v 1 or 1 v 1 can be used if you need to. if you need to re-arrange a match, play as soon as possible

5. No show by a team without prior notice may result in the match being claimed.

6. Winners of each league will be the team with most points. In the event of a tie, hole difference will count. If still tied, the result of match between tied teams will decide result.

if still tied a play off between the teams will take place.

7. MWL knock-out cup matches. Both teams are responsible for playing their match on time. If not played by the appointed date both teams will be disqualified.
