Although we are a relaxed and informal club we do operate a dress code on the golf course of no denim, other sports shirts or soiled clothing.
A reminder that our stance on pace of play is that all players should have the expectation of playing to the "Time Par" (4 hours for 18 holes) but if you have lost ground on the group in front and the group behind have caught you up please make every effort to let them through
Following some basic etiquette dos and do nots will maximise enjoyment of golf at Cams for you, your guests and all other golfers on the golf course.
Replace divots.
Repair pitchmarks
Rake bunkers.
Respect other players - let faster groups play through if you can't keep up with the group in front
Pull trolleys too close to the edge of tees and greens.
Got one already?
If you have an official handicap index from a previous golf club we are happy to a transfer the handicap index to Cams. All we need is your CDH number and a new record can be created for you.
Would you like one?
Check out our Handicap Information page via this link
Your handicap index will then be calculated and allocated within seven days. You can check your new handicap index via the member’s website or intelligentgolf app.
To be eligible to play in club competitions you just need a handicap index.
All club competitions can be found on the relevant dates in the Cams diary (click here). This is on the website and app, you will see there is a full programme of events throughout the year.
Monthly medals, monthly Stablefords, winter and summer knockouts, Men’s matches, Ladies matches and mixed matches are all in the diary.
Bookings for competitions open online at 7:30pm, 8 days before the date of the competition.
However, if you wish to play and enjoy your golf more on a social basis then the diary will be of use to you to help locate the best times to play thus avoiding competition times.
Remember the social golfer at Cams is equally important to us as those who wish to compete. We all have our own aims, goals and expectations from our golf.
Typically our Seniors Section play their competitions on a Monday morning, Ladies Section play their competitions on a Thursday morning/one day of a Weekend, and our Mens Section play their competitions on a Wednesday/one day of a Weekend.
Entry fees are payable via your Competition Account. You would need to top this up (via PayPal or a credit/debit card) prior to your first competition.
Competition winnings are paid to your Members Club Card (not on to your competition account). This can be spent anywhere within the club (Pro Shop, Bar, etc) including at other Club Company venues.
All members with a handicap index are welcome to represent the club in the various leagues/friendlies that we enter as a club. To put yourself forward for selection you'll need to firstly join the relevant squad, (click
here for Club Matches, then click View all squads) then add your avaialbility for each fixture and the captain of each team will select the team from that point on
Cams has a fleet of 12 golf buggies. The buggies are new for 2023 and are all fitted with lithium batteries.
Buggies can be reserved and hired via the "Golf Services" button when booking your tee time online.
Buggy prices vary due to on and off peak periods, members do however receive a 25% discount on buggy prices at any time.
Please note – Cams does not have a concrete buggy path so there will be periods of inclement weather/course conditions where the use of buggies may be restricted.
